People these days seem to against interracial dating, especially between Asians and whites. Is there something wrong with dating someone with a different skin color or ancestry?

i myself tend to hang out or date asian people more frequently than caucasian people simply because i feel more comfortable around people who have similar customs, traditions, and family backgrounds as me. i dont feel as if i have to act differently around them ( i wouldnt act differently around anyone anyways, but that doesnt mean i dont feel like i should.)

the term "racism" or "racist" is too broadly used nowadays. anything is considered racism to people lately... the definition of racism is "a strong or irrational fear or hatred towards an entire ethnicity or race" i see too many people using it incorrectly, and it just..irks me i guess..

i know a lot of caucasian guys that prefer asian women.. because they think they're prettier and are generally more "wild" because their parents had protected and sheltered them all their lives...

when did hate crimes come in here? there have been examples of hate crimes from every race towards every other race, so dont make it seem like asians are the ones most likely to.... just because some have occured, doesnt make the entire race prejudiced.

I like going with the same ethnicity because as someone pointed above I feel more welcomed and home with people with the same cultures, heritage, and tradition. No ethnicity is better than the other, but I do like to preserve the tradition and heritage i and my parents have been grown up with.

There is nothing wrong with dating outside your race. I hope that society eventually learns to accept it. I think it's great when people of two different cultures date because they learn new customs from each other and it allows them not to be so close minded. I think it makes things more interesting and more worthwhile.

I think you can fall in love with anyone of any color. We're really not as different as it seems.

Besides, mixed children are so beautiful. :) I think this is what God intended.

I personally don't have any problem with it, I was even in one of these relationships for a little while. But everybody has their own beleifs, and some don't approve of them. To answer the question of if there is one thing, right or wrong, it would be impossible, because everybody has thier own beleifs. I suggest that you make this decision for yourself, and try no t to let anybody influence your opinion.

there's nothing wrong with interracial dating.. it's just like every other relationship that people have.. like.. they love each other so they go together..
the problem that arises is when some conservative parents come in the way.. they say, "they don't even eat the same food!" it's like they're saying that two cultures can never mix.. i'm totally against that... cuz like.. i'm dating a guatemalan.. and like.. everything is going fine... interracial dating ... depends on how in depth their culture is. I'm asian (Chinese) ... but i'm an ABC. BUT THEN AGAIN ... my parents made sure that I knew all the holidays and traditions and what-nots. Now if i were to date a white guy ... we might have proeblems bc of different values. BUT < i know ... a lot of buts BUTTS> if he's culturally diversed ... there would be less probelms. u know what i'm trying to get at? plus ... we all know that mutts look HOT *wink wink*

I think it's pretty wrong that you said that asian females are prettier than caucasian females... Do you have something against all caucasian females? I mean, come on... I know it's your opinion... but I just want you to realize that you're categorizing all caucasian females and saying that all asian females are prettier than them... I mean, there are a LOT of caucasian females that are very beautiful... But, apparently, you don't see this... and I'm thinking that it's just because they're asian that makes them prettier... but, I'm not sure... but that's just how I read into it, you know?... and also, you might just think that because this is the United States (I'm assuming you live here, as well) and that the majority is caucasian... So, anyway... You shouldn't say that asian females are prettier than caucasian females because you should be open to what all races have to offer... As for interracial dating... My ex boyfriend is black... and I'm hispanic... My family is against it, but they didn't know I was dating him... We were together for 2 years and we're still friends... My mom is fine with me hanging out with him, but I'm not sure how she would have taken it if she knew we were a couple... (if someone is planning to have an 'interracial relationship', I'm not telling you to keep it from your parents, if they don't accept it...) but it's also the safest way.... Because I know that if a parent is totally against it, they're going to try to separate you (I had a friend in this situation and she was black and asian and her boyfriend was from india and his parents went so far that they disenrolled him from school and were on the verge of sending him back to his country)... So, things like this can get extremely serious... but I say that two people can't help who they fall in love with or even who they like or just love them (there's a difference with people in love and just loving a person)... Dating outside of your race is a way for you to 'explore' other races... To see things the way another race sees things... for example, if you date someone who is black you see what they have to deal with from society... like racism or prejudice -- at least I learned from my ex boyfriend... To me, it's a beautiful thing... and being as open as possible makes you even a better person....

i'm perfectly aware that there are beautiful caucasians in the world. but i still think that asians are prettier. as a race. not every individual person. i did not say that every single asian person out there is prettier than every single caucasian person. i think that the most commonly shared asian features are prettier than those of caucasians. Because asians look more... exotic to me... and in my opinion, that's what makes them more attractive to me. And I'm bisexual. So I can judge pretty well... I mean why do you think some white men look at asian porn all the time?
