Is there a way to make the background of a picture (My current av) to have a transparent background using Paint or another program you can download for free?

Ummm...you could try downloading the Adobe Photoshop tryout version here then after you are done with your image open file --> save for web --> and then click the transparent box and ta-da! Hope this helps ^_^

not with paint u can't do taht... and i dunno if PSP will do it either.
