alright i started skating a few years ago and then stopped for 2 years n i picked my board up the otherday and started olleing and ****.... i tried 2 do some kickflips and heelflips... but i couldnt get the board 2 rotate the entire way or catch it ... i searched online for all these tips but they dont help... so any skaters out there please help me out

its like an olley but when u kick it up u gotta have ur other leg "kick"/flick the side edge of the board really fast and itll flip enough, then all u gotta learn is how to stick the landing....haha its easier to show then explain

Yeah you can't really learn tricks from just reading tips, it's all about practicing. If you can, record yourself doing a kickflip/heelflip and view it and look at your mistakes and correct them.

I've never had a World Industries board but I've heard some crappy stuff about them. Right now I have a Girl deck, works great for me.

Shoes, it's all about whats comfortable to you. They all will work, they all will get jacked, so pick what you feel is good on your feet. I myself have lakais but I usually don't skate with those, I like them too much. I skate with $20 airwalks, it doesn't make me skate crappy and they're cheap.

LOL shoes and boards don't really matter. Practice is the key point. I've got this crappy generic board and I wear chucks when I'm skating and I can do the same ol' tricks. I say practice. It's just like you're starting over, you'll get it eventually. But if you had to get new shoes I say go with vans . . . I like them better for some reason. lol

BTW: Do you skate goofy, regular, or switch?

goofy..... howd u ppl copy n paste wat i said with the boxy thing lol.. basicaly i noe i have 2 flick my foot out.. but everytime i do.. the board doesnt flip.. and if it does it doesnt flip under my legs when i hover over

I'm sponsored by our local shop, I used to be a lot better but I quit for about 2 years. Juss came back to skating 2 months ago when our city got a new skatepark. For a kickflip if you want to catch it high put your back foot like you would an ollie and your front foot towards the front bolts of your board almost touching them but not covering any of them. Make sure you get a clean pop, drag your front foot up and flip the board, and bring your body up with the flip.

i used to be really into skaters.

not the ones that can do crap on the street but the ones i actually see at the skate parks. some of them are really hot, especially on a skateboard.

but... lately all the guys i know quit.

wow i almost landed akickflip 2 day.. the board fliped right under me but i didnt get both ffeeet on.. SOME ONE PLEASE GIVE ME TIPS!

im trying to learn how to do an ollie...
the way i do it, is i push my left leg [which is on the back of the board]down, then my right leg..and the skateboard jsut flies out from under my feet....
argh..i suck at stuff like this...

Try stopping the rotation with your back foot. Then put your front foot on top of the bolts. And slide away . . . lol slide away . . . eh.


And as for xscore:
This is how I do my ollies. Get your back foot near the edge of your board and have your heel hang off it. Your other foot should be near the nose of the board and it can hang off too. Smack the tail with all you've got and jump off your back foot. When you jump have your front foot slide forward. . . I think that's it.
