sammi rules you
conair. that's what i use.

I don't know t3h best str8ner, but the best straightener that I've tried would have to be conair. I don't straighten often, and I definately don't str8n!

ceramic dont do as much damage. they may cost more, but it's worth it.
leeeza702
I use the Hai brand... it was one of the first ceramic straighteners out... it was what my hair stylist used on me.. it was expensive though, IMO... it was uhh.. 75 dollars?? laugh.gif

i actully just bought a new straightner. i thought it was kinda odd when i saw it, but i bought it anyway to try it out. it actully is the best straightner iv'e ever had. its called "wet 2 straight" and the brand name is Remington. its weird cuz u can use it on wet hair if you want to. it like has these steam vent things so it dry's and straighten at the same time. it also reduces over-drying, frizz and it doesnt damage ur hair! its awesome!

I have a conair ultra slim ceramic straightener = GREAT INVESTMENT heats up QUICK, multiple heat settings and you dont have to straighten over and over again. It's $18.01 at Walgreens.

and no, it's not too small biggrin.gif
justchillen
CHi is great..

I have a ceramic-coated plate conair thing... I guess it's kay... although I have to use it a few times on some parts of my hair.
nlgrl

x_babii_gherl_x
i use conair.. n it comes w/ different styling brushes.. n it works n its cheap.. so owell!!
sweetdreamsx3
Conair?

I don't usually straighten my hair since it already is straightened..
[2]realisticx
ohh chi is really good :] but hella expensive you can try to get it on ebay it works and it lasts it keeps your hair straight until you wet it again. it depends what kind of hair you have if it's really curly then i think you should get this one. if not maybe the conairs?
candiceness
well i got my hair permanently straightened..and they used ceramic straighteners..and another one they used on me had velvet plates :D but ceramics cause less damage. i suggest HOT TOOLS ceramic straightener.. it also straighens really well too..better than the metal ones, because metal can sometimes hurt and it can damage your hair too..but try
xolilkatie
ugh.. conair sucks! pinch.gif

I have really thick frizzy wavy hair.. and ive tried tons of straighteners..Conair and Hot Tools didnt work for me. Revlon worked pretty good but only certain models (mine was white with gold plates).. but i used it every day and it broke. And then I bought another one.. and it broke.. and so on. The one time.. it had like sparks inside the handle.. im lucky it didnt start a fire!! hehe rolleyes.gif

soo yea.. the one i use now works soo good.
Its called the Solano Saphire. Its ceramic.. and its black with blue plates. I got it at Ulta for about $100 happy.gif

Are you sure they were CERAMIC ONES?! You should never use a regular Iron one. Always use a ceramic one wink.gif

My half-sister gave me her hair straightener. It's a Hot Tools Ceramic Iron and it does straighten it pretty well happy.gif But if you don't do it the right way, it won't last 10 hours like it should. I remember the first time I did it and it only lasted like 3 hours lol -_-" But yea =P THe one I have was 50 dollars. Nope, it doesn't fry my hair. Yea, you should get a ConAir one. ConAir ones are really good wink.gif
Slim1673
Umm I use a professional one its called Ceramics by Jilbere IT WORKS SOOO GOOD!!

katherine-xo
GHD'S are the best *nods* .. i got some for christmas.. and my hair goes softer every time i straighten them :)
ninazaweirdo
i used to use conair ceramic straitener. it works good. it makes ur har soft 2 rolleyes.gif
timeflies51
I use the kind that my hairdresser uses, it's called Kenta. It's nice, and the edges are round so you can have your hair curve in at the bottom.

The only bad part about it is that you can burn yourself easily. I've done that a few times. Otherwise, if you're willing to fork over the money, it's a really nice straightener.
islandkiss
my mother bought me 4 from Taiwan. two broke.

the one that i'm currently using now works great. i'm not sure what it's called though
mouse_3k
I got this straightener from California from a salon cause my aunt is a hair stylist but it was $100 and its the best. When im not lazy ill go upstairs and check the name
yellowgurl
I have a cordless one.. its really stupid.. i think its conair too but then it takes a really long time to heat up so.. just dont get those kinds... i hear ceramic plate ones are good.
chococat15
ya, i use conair ceramic straightener, which pretty much everyone has said....lol. it works really well, cause u can change the heat levels so it won't damage ur hair as much. happy.gif
mycupoftea
revlon >> all the way!
vandiee
definitely not conair. it kills your hair.

the one im using right now, sedu is THE best.
its a ceramic tourmaline straightening iron.
a little on the expenisve side ($125) but COMPLETELY worth it.
it heats up crazily fast, less than 30 seconds even at the hottest setting.
i bought mine at folica.com when it was on sale. not sure if it still is.
the results are amazing. i wish i could straighten my hair everyday with it since it makes my hair SOOOO pretty.
PrincessAda
Conair or Revlon..or the most expensive one..
Becca Pearl
The best one to get is Hot Tools Flat Iron...you have to order it off of the net or get your stylist to order it 4 you though because u can’t just walk in the store and get it (it cost less to order it off of the net)…i've had mine for about 4 years and its just as good as it was the forst day i got it.

Heres a link to get it at a good price

yeah, i have a vidal sassoon one... when it's set to high it works sooo well... i don't know how much it cost, though, because my brother's friend gave it to him...

chii is good.
haha but its expensive stubborn.gif
n_Oodles
I have crazy thick curly hair....I get my hair straightener from Sally's Beauty Supply...idk if they have one in your area, but their flat iron works really good. The company is Curlmaster and it's about 50 bucks. It makes it really straight and it's ceramic plated so it doesn't damage much.
ilovemychick
I heard that SEDU is the best. The testimonials can be found here: www.folica.com
murderwaltz
i have a ceramic conair one. it's really good & cheap. ive had it for like 2 years now. haha i think i need a new one though.
anniepiee
Hm, I bought mine at a salon. The brand's Babyliss or something. It works really good, but it costed me around 100 bucks CAN.
clarity

you could always ask the person who does you hair what they think.
thats what my friend did, and hers works very well.
