Your voice,
I crave to hear it
One more time,

My heart,
Yearns for you
In my arms,

My Soul
Rejoices each time
When we talk,

You have become
My ecstasy,
High on the joy
You give me
Each and everyday,

And my life
Didn’t seem so
Dark and desolate,
With you
Brightening my world,
Each day
Immersed with happiness,

But my heart shattered,
Like a piece of glass
Dropping to the ground,
When u told me
You didn’t feel the same.

I lost all hope
That we would ever be,
Wishing,
Hoping,
Longing,
For just one moment
With you in my arms,
Making you feel safe,
And protected
From the harsh world.

I would wait for eternity
Cause you are worth
Each minute,
Hour,
Day,
Year,
Till I can
Call you my boo,

But my fear
Consumes me,
Preventing me from waiting,
I think I’ll lose you
And be heartbroken
Once again,
Taking me back
To my own
Abyss of sorrow

You will always
Be in my heart,
You inspired me,
And you lifted my world,
I only hope
I had that effect,
On you.

i love this poem. its like how my life is and how i feel. I wanted that special someone to feel the same, but he broke my heart and told me he didnt feel the same. i LOVE this poem!
