Um. I think that 141 inches would be 11 feet and 9 inches? Maybe I am wrong? That is a bit taller than the average person.

you can exercise regularly. like running or jogging. sit ups or push ups. it works if you do it every day.

I take these pills for it becaz I am 14 and I weight like 150, I am ashamed of it and I am going into high skool, I have to look good even if I am a cheerleader (fat cheerleader huh) just excersize as much as possible it will help I promise :)

I've been on a low carb diet for a couple daez...and itz worked..i lost 4 lbs since saturdae...im 13 and i currently weigh 143...buh i aint all dat fat....juz thick..so im told..

hehe.. i'v lost 10 lbs in about 2-3 weeks this month and im feeling GREAT.. i didnt even exercise. well.. it was mainly from being sick with the cold and bronchitis which totally ruined my crave for food. so now i only eat a little a day and nothing too heavy. usually those Healthy Food things that u buy in the frozen food section are really good, thats wat im currently eating for my meats. good luck!

yeah...i have the same problem as u....im 5'2 & 190!!!! eekk....but u kno im lucky...i dont look all that fat...just a lil chubby....& i dont eat alot....i dunno whats my problem!!! im starting to do athletics & dance classes and hopefully this will help...... blush.gif cry.gif i kinda get depressed....

I tryed Weigth Watchers, its pretty good, i went from 150lbs to 130lbs in like 3 months...

i agree, yet i disagree. its good to feel positive about your body, but if you acknowledge the fact that you're overweight, you've made the 1st step to losing fat and looking better

do not put down the fork, but rather eat small, healthy meals (about 4-6 a day, 2-3 hours apart). eat a lot of protein, vegetables, and fruits, and try not to eat many carbs. that means no ice cream, no chocolate, no white bread. the only carbs you should eat (if you really wanna fat) are wheat bread and brown rice (there are more but those are the 2 most common healthy carbs). don't drink soft drinks, but if you have cravings, then drink something diet (but don't do it often because the carbonic acid is bad for your bones).

you mentioned being on a diet, but do you exercise? exercise consists of both aerobic and resistance exercises. do some 100m sprints (8-12 with a minute rest in between) and do lift some weights. lifting weights will result in you getting more muscles, which will break away your fat because muscles need lots of energy to function. don't worry about getting big and ripped because girls don't produce much testosterone, which is what makes guys huge.

drink lots of water! atkins works, but the main struggle is keeping the weight off after you've lost it

biggrin.gif yeah pretty much what everyone said excerise and eat RIGHT no junkie food, well the best way for me was swiming, they where swiing classes for 8 weeks, one day a week adn i lost 10 or 15 pounds...i guess thats the fastest way...

wow, you're very tall. i'm about 5'6 and weigh 120....about 3 years ago i weighed 30 more pounds than i do now and i am still losing about 5 pounds every 3-6 months. all i did was start my triathlon training and that's what sparked it. i've been a lot less active than i was then but i still keep losing the pounds :::shrugs:::

i say u jus control the amount of food you comsume..you dont wanna overeat so jus try n limit it until ur lyk 89% full, do not eat fatty foods (ex. hamburgers, french fries, chicken nuggests, nething fried. etc), exercise few times a week, drink lots of water, control ur amount of sweets tat u intake. u can have lyk a few sweets once in a while but not everyday. tat should do it. you shouldnt be on one of those crash diets cuz once u loose all tat weight by deprivin ur body of once u eat sumthing you are gonna gain it all bac. just do it the healthy way. good luck

141 cm is roughly 4'8" (correct me if i`m wrong).

from some of the replies, how do you know that the problem is that she`s eating too much?

for a teen? you`re, what, 13/14? i think your weight should be the LAST thing that you should be concerned about. that`s how bad the media is, polluting peoples` heads to think that bone thin is beautiful, and at THAT age?? that`s horrible. stop thinking about the media, stop thinking about what other people think. and if you wanna do it for yourself, then good for you. but why would you think you`re too fat? `cause society... your weight is perfectly fine. but if you`re really THAT concerned about it, then try to limit your food intake BEFORE the evening hours.

I'm not sure if "losing weight" means to get lighter or to lose body fat. Anyways if you sit around doing nothing all dayy, eventually your muscles turn to fat and then you get lighter since muscles weighs more?

But to lose body fat, take swimming. but not like the splish-splash-beach-ball-just-chilling kind. this one has to be competative with like 2 mile workouts and stuff. join your school's swim team or something. Its the best sport if you dont like getting sweaty. :P You can get a tan AND lose fat AND eat whatever// how much you want ;]

just 2 things diet n exercise...
diet doesnt mean.. eat a lil... ppl always do that..
it means.. make ur diet better (diet=food) lay off the sugar n extra carbs.. cuz they convert to fat O_O thats a no no... eat all ur .. umm watever they are called.. haha building blockes or the food pyramid? haha besides the tip O_O

lol Yah i know. I know what to eat. I'm 15 gunna be 16 in 100 days biggrin.gif The answer to being skinny is put down the fork. If someone offers you fries say to yourself "Do i really need that?" I want a trampoline for exercise but my mommie doesn't want me falling off and killing myself lol yeah... i'd be a rail if i had one of those. I love them. Gotta get a job and buy my own :)

welll anyway, i would suggest doing pilates. i do it every morning, and not only does it make you fit and everything, it make you feel good, like mentally.... lol ive only been doing it for a few weeks, and i can already see an improvement both mentally and phisically....

So 4'8 and about 100 lbs... that isn't "FAT" but you are slightly over your ideal healthy weight for your height.

I think 90-95 pounds is what your "ideal healthy weight" is. You can check out BMI calculators online, healthy women have to have atleast have 20% body fat.

Anyhow, the best thing to do to lose weight (and this is TRIED & TRUE since I am 5'1 and used to weight 112 and now weigh 94) is to NOT diet.

DIETING is so restricting. Instead of dieting you need to dedicate yourself to a healthier and more active lifestyle.

For example, don't eat at fast food restaurants. It wasn't a problem for me since I don't like fast food too much.

Don't eat overly processed foods like sandwich meat, instant microwave meals, white bread. Also, don't drink soda, and if you must drink diet. The best thing to do is just to start drinking lots of water, 100% juice drinks, weak teas, and low fat milk. Liquid helps flush out toxins in your body and keeps you hydrated.

Don't skip meals. Do not starve yourself. Your body knows you're trying to starve yourself therefore will HOLD ON to the fat in your food which then gets stored in your system. Anorexics get very skinny because they starve for looooong (dangerous) periods of times and thus their bodies enter ketosis.

Stay active! Instead of parking in the first parking spot park further back. Carry your groceries instead of using a cart. Walk to the mailbox instead of drive. Go swimming, take a short walk, even walking around the mall! Every little thing adds up.

And lastly, don't get discouraged if you don't see the weight dropping quickly. Like I said, you're not on a diet, you're changing your lifestyle to be more active and healthy.

It took me about 4-5 months to lose my weight and I ate desserts and had lattes and ate rich foods, but I also compensated by doing extra laps on the threadmill or drinking an extra glass of water...etc etc...

Just take it easy and the best luck to you! laugh.gif

Simple, but hard: No candy, sweets, pop, sugars/be qactive, join a sports team/don't slouch, tummy muscles then slack/ many crunches/exercise in the morning (it speeds up your metabolism for the day)/always eat breakfast/don't eat after 7:00 at night cause yu won't have time to burn those calories before you sleep

if you want to lose weight, you should excersize and eat healthy. Dont go on diets or starve yourself to death, but dont go too skinny you can die from that as well. pinch.gif

well i think that for breakfast, just eat like.. a litlle bite, and for lunch, drink a drink and freeload off anyone who would let you, and for dinner, just dont' eat much. kuz it takes longer to digest and so it fills up in ur'e system. and go joggin and stuff.. p.s. dance is good, and so is like.. tennis adn basketball

Uhhh...exercise, drink lots of water, and eat healthy portions of food, duh. And stop caring about your damn weight, or else you're gonna end up stressing about it. When you're stressed, you'll gain more weight (I dunno if I made a lotta sense or not).

hMmM..thing is that i am like 12 yrs old and like yah like i am bout 140 lbs lol..i am like big boned and i have my baby fat still but not that chubby i am 5'2 or 3 and im not stick skinny but just right. i dont look 140lbs thats cuz i eat a lot of colorfulfruits and vegies they say its good for you and like i exercise so like yah i lost about 5lbs now i think im 135lbs lol. and yah just dont be hard on urself dont throw up or [[make urself actually]] and yah but u have to feel confident bout urself too. well.. ermm.. yah i am joining hip hop dance club this year in junior high and i might go out for skateboarding or whatever makes me fit and is really fun lol! Just stop the cravings by... ohh yah eating fruit instead of chocolate..eat a apple instead of chips! Low carb diets are hot too! so yah! ohh remember to exercise sumtime and =drink lottsa fluids aka WATER! shifty.gif
