so, i like restored by comp cause it got effed-up and i lost all my programs that i installed, so i reinstalled all of em but kazaa lite K++. I searched for it on download.com but found nothin, so i went to their website..but it didnt werk, so i searched for it in google. I found this article about kazaa lite and read it, it said that it got shutdown by the creators of kazaa media desktop because of copyright infringment.... izit true?

If you got rid of the original kazaa lite. You can download the newversion which is jacked with spyware and popups from kazaa.com.

Or find a good friend who still has the installation file. I just use winmx and dc++.

Here's the gist of it:

The creators of KaZaa Media Desktop wanted to sue the creators of KaZaa Lite/KaZaa Lite K++ and all the people that helped it gain popularity. As far as I know the suit never happened. The KaZaa Lite K++ project had been finished because of the whole ordeal.

Then a person called "Darth Vikram" resurrected the K++ project, since he was very angry about Sharman trying to sue to creators of K++. Him and some others made a new K++, and called it "KaZaa Lite Resurrection."

A bit of history about KaZaa Lite/K++/Resurrection. Yes, KaZaa Lite does a bit of RIAA/MPAA blocking for you, but not that much. There is a program called "PeerGuardian" that blocks all known RIAA/MPAA IP addresses from getting access to your computer and seeing what you are doing. The program updates itself daily. Very handy to have.

Now, about K++. It's extremely hard to find. But I suggest that you use KaZaa Lite Resurrection. In my opinion, it's much better. I have found things on Resurrection from users that I could never find in K++. If you want to download it, go to www.filesharingplace.com and go to the P2P clients page.

I still had kazaa lite but I hardly use it. I use bittorrent now (it a great program but it a bit more risky since it direct connects to other people and they can get your ip and stuff)
Kazaa Lite was suited and they took down their website. the website: www.kazaalite.com is a fake, it just wants your credit card number to steal from you.

Use bittorrent but also have peerguardian ( I use it with kazaa/bittorrent).

the "good version" of Kazaa lite, i think, comes with AVI preview and K-Dat and all those programs... AVI preview and those others are awesome.

ur suppose to get kazaa lite k++ from another p2p network like kazaa which is risky becuz of the spy ware just DL from there and uninstall kazaa and run a spyware scan with ad-aware
