to help you choose:
slashers: friday the 13th, nightmare on elmstreet, TcM, halloween, etc.
a bunch of kids do drugs and have pre marital sex only to be hacked to pieces. good for parties.
zombie: dawn of the dead, dead-alive, return of the living dead, etc.
somehow, the dead riase again and feast on living flesh. themed mostly on survival.
vampire: near dark, lost boys, underworld, etc.
movies about vampires. they tend to have a macabre, dark feeling to them and usually have great love stories entwined.
wearwolf: ginger snaps, the howling, an american wearwolf in london, etc.
usually mysteries. about somone eather hunting or becoming a wearwolf. top notch special effects.
psychological: donnie darko, 2001: space oddysey, fight club, etc.
not always concidered Horror but leaves you in wonder and it's scary how much it makes you think afterward.
sci fi: alien, perdator, starship troopers, etc.
mostly futuristic. involving aliens or evolved beings and always a possibility that such monsters exist.

I also like twisted movies I mean I don't think that House of 1000 Corpses has a style like the ones named its just real messed but good though.

Zombie, slasher, and psychological. More psychological though.
I get scared less at those.
I get scared way too easily...it's really pathetic. People that know me offline know the extent of it...it's sad.

And Fight Club, yea...
Umm you might want to list some actual psychological thrillers..not movies that..aren't horror movies..
Even I'M not scared by those, and I get scared of EVERYTHING. Those aren't scary, nor are they meant to be.

Shut up.
Bring something scary to Dean's for New Year's. Cause uh yea.
Dean and I were making up the list for his party last night, and you're totally invited.
There can only be 15 people; it was a grueling process.

There can only be 15 people; it was a grueling process. I might be attending Countdown NYE 2006 in Chicago. So, I wouldn't be able to make it. But, I'm not positive I'm going yet. I still have to decide. I'm on the fence.
But, if you guys need an interesting film, either way... you can hit me up.
Also, BOO!!! LEATHERFACE SCARY!!!! BLOOD! BOO!!

I like slashers and psychological thrillers.
Slashers because I really like teen slashers where they`re running through the woods and dying. LOL.
Psychological thrillers because they tend to mess with your mind and usually end up with a twist ending.

Definitely psychological. I'm not a big fan of excessive, extraneous gore and I think zombies are stupid.

I chose slasher movies .. though they aren't my particular favourite.
I'm into a more Battle Royale, Saw, Audition etc genre. I don't really know what it would go under .. but I like those sorts of movies.
Also movies with extreme amounts of laughable gore e.g Braindead, The Hills Have Eyes [old version .. with the orange blood].
I'm a freak and proud =]

The kind that aren't lame
I do not
want to laugh during a horror movie because it looks funny when the guys head is cut off or the blood spurts out like freakin' old faithful. Big pet peeve.
I chose psychological.
