No. You can have money and not be evil. It's the person. There are people who get money and become really greedy, that's when problems start. Then you have other people who have money, but don't think much of it. Those are the smart people.

Well think about this: If money was the root of all evil then why would church ask for it? I mean if you go to church... dont you add a dollar or two in the collection plate?

Money is a thing with value because we make it so, nothing more, nothing less. But the desire/greed to obtain money by any means is evil.

And in my opinion, money has as much power over Man as we have power over it.

I agree one hundred percent. Money doesn't always cause evil. I guess sometimes it can, but it starts with the person. They have to watch out for how they react to having so much money, or not much money at all.

Well, MAYBE SO, that's what I said. I think that money can make people greedy and can make people become evil becuase people kill others for money (assassins get paid ><).

But let's not forget that some people who do have alot of money use money for the common good. There's people who help sponsor people, who donate to charity, etc.

Right, so we can use money to our liking, but money (or the greed for money) can also controls our conscience.

"the love of money is the root of all evil" - thats the real saying but it got shorten. i would agree to the unabridge version of that quote. the love of money causes people to be greedy. it hits every one of the seven deadly sins.

Both depends on how the millionaire takes the money to which direction.

I dont think money is the root of evil either....it is the people...we get greedy and wanting and then we get mad at others for not spending money for things we want or whatever....

and no, even if there was no religion, i bet they'd still make up the word "evil". evil means morally reprehensible, so even if there was no religion, people could still be morally reprehensible.

and no, i don't think someone who does something evil can be condemned for eternity (according to my beliefs). If someone does something evil (kill someone), then they can still go to Heaven. everyone sins...the amount or type of sin may differ
