At first I wasn't sure how to put in tampons and they felt really weird. But now its all i use (besides when i sleep). Well here's an idea for you, why don't you look in the tampon box and there should be a paper with instructions. Just follow them, there is like usually little drawings too. And yeah, you do put in the plastic applicator during insertion of the tampon.

Don't feel bad, I had no clue when I first started either. Def read the box, but yuou might also want to start with lights or they sometimes have some called juniors. It has nice lil 'teen' instructions.

how about wearing pads instead? theyre less complicated and i know it feels like wearing a diaper, but they hold more blood

well when i first started using it(recently) i would buy it but couldnt figure it out and it wouyld hurt. but i found that if i would relax and just think of other things that it would help. but if u just relax it will first fell a little uncomfortable but itll side right in. so read the directions and relax. and if u feel pain then that means its not in far enough. put the plastic thing does go in and u push the tampon up there

Its not hard

take it out of the applicator. theres like a hole and you just push it in. try to find it first.

you should reread the directions and follow them precisely. tampons should not feel like something is stuck up your ---, your not wearing it right if you feel that way. you shouldn't be able to feel anything. you should try sticking it up just a little bit more and yes the plastic thing has to go up too but it also has to come out. only the cotton like piece should be in.

you cant put a tampon in dry or else itll hurt. remember to stay relaxed. its kinda hard to be relaed since you havent ever really done this before..get a mirror and aim it at your vagina so you know waht youre doing. after a while, youll be such a pro that you wont need the mirror anymore! but remmeber to aim the tampon at an agle. girls vaginas arent straight up. if youre feeling pain, STOP.

i tried to wear a tampon once it felt funny. i try useing it when i had no period. but when i had my period and i try to used a tampon . it did not feel right .so i just say used a pad

Oh for crying out loud, YES YOU PUT THE PLASTIC THING IN! It's called an applicator, as in you use it to help you put it in!! It's not like you KEEP it there, you take it off, but you PUT IT IN TO MAKE IT EASIER TO INSERT.

Some tampons don't have one, but I definitely suggest that you use one that does.

Like everyone else said, just read the instruction on/in the box.
