where the logo going to be applied most? print? web?
AbbeyMarie
I am going to say print, since they are not too internet savy.

in that case you probably want to think about the style of them and the production. for instance it looks like there is some gradients in a few of those. i would be careful about using gradients in a logo that's primarily for print, because gradients are tricky to print often and unless you're using a good printer they usually don't come out looking like they do on the computer. like on the second one it looks like there i some kind of radial gradient on the front wing? stuff like that is going to be hard to reproduce off screen. that's not to say you can't do it, it's just an added issue to think about.

i like your first mark the best, and i like it best in the yellow. i think it's nicer because it's more abstract, but the color still reinforces the idea. how'd you come up with that concept? you might play around with scale of the mark to the text. they're relatively the same size right now. also i don't know if you've played with placing the text somewhere besides right under the mark, but you might look at that. although conceptually i think having the mark over the text makes sense in the context of a guardian angel since we think of those as watching "over" people.

the second one is alright. that extra little wisp on the right side of the wing is kinda strange to me. i think it's an extra detail that you don't really need, plus when you scale the mark down it mostly disappears.

i would disregard the last couple, especially the ones iwth literal wings. i just think it's too literal.

Ditched the others, since I liked the top the most also. Everyone in my group is just so stuck on making things as literal as possible. Everything. Covered in birds and angels.

I am looking for a better font right now, walkway is just kind of always my backup font. Got rid of the gradient and moved the text around. I don't particularly like the text though.

Chances are they won't use the logo but I kind of want to knock this out before I get on with the site (which is what they will most likely be using).
brooklyneast05
well i wouldn't put the text on top of the mark, i more meant like to the side lol. where you have it originally might be the best option anyway.

i agree about the font. also i don't think the text has to be so symmetrical with community service directly under necessarily. it could be to the side

if community service was toward one side and the mark towards the other it would still balance if it was treated right. that's not necessarily right but you know what i mean.

JUST A THOUGHT
AbbeyMarie
YOUR THOUGHTS ARE GOOD JC.

Should I stick with a sans serif font then?
brooklyneast05
i would but i'm a sucker for sans serifs. it's a more sleek modern logo and a modern typeface probably suits it.
AbbeyMarie
OK IMMA JUST GO WITH THAT.(for now) NEXT:
