Music in 2009 was impressive to say the least. It's a bit senseless to claim music in 2010 will be even better but it's safe to say there's a lot to look forward to. Here are some acts I'm particularly excited for:

Common - I expect his upcoming album 'The Believer' to pump out real quality, especially with No I.D. and Kanye West on the production team. Hopefully Kanye puts the T-Pain effects aside though.
MGMT - Andrew and Ben made waves like no other in 2008. I can't wait for their sophomore release.
Radiohead - I was skeptical of Radiohead when Thom started doing his own thing. But clearly the bond of such a wicked band can't ever be broken. Haha. Look out 2010, another Radiohead album's on the way.

And of course with releases from Arcade Fire, The Decemberists and Fleet Foxes, this year ought to be damn good. January alone had Vampire Weekend and OK Go. I'd say I'm most curious about the Radiohead and MGMT albums because I don't really know what they're going to sound like. Ludacris is also releasing his seventh album early March. Can't wait for that.

Kid cudi's new cd, Cudder:Evolution of Revolution, he already released a homemade video of one of the songs, and im really diggin it, it seems like it will be way more hype than Man On The Moon, but even if its not im sure it will be fresh.

Sigur Rós' frontman Jónsi's debut album Go is being released in the beginning of April. I've heard several tracks and it's fucking brilliant. Defo grabbing a proper copy when it comes out.
