yu can make them animated in imageready and make them 100x100 pixels or jest crop an image on the web to 100x100

It doesnt really matter what age you are to learn this kind of stuff.

But, if I'm making an avie, I use paint. I jsut find a really nice premade avatar and I add words into it with a cool font.

1. Open a new document in Photoshop. If you don't have it go to www.adobe.com and download a free trial. It lasts for about 30 days.
2. Then change the pixel amount to 100x100.
3. Take an image or whatever you want to use. Drag it to your document. Make sure you're on that move tool.
4. Make sure you're on your type tool and type some random thing. Whatever you want it to say.
5. Save it as web or something and upload it. :D
