They use maggots and leeches in hospitals. Also, black widow bites aren't nearly as dangerous/gross as brown reclusive bites.

I got bit by a brown recluse when I was 8. The worst part is when they shove that stuff in the bite. And when they take it out it feels f*cking weird. Worst thing ever.
