while using the pen tool, is their a key
on the keyboard i can press so i don't have too
always right click and choose stroke?

Goes to Brush mode, Enter strokes, and P brings you back to Pen.

Otherwise idk, too lazy and uncaring to find out.

But yeah, I think what Pandora should work. (Oh and btw, what she posted isn't a combination, they're steps - B [key], enter [hard return], and then P [key].)
