I'm going to start working on a client's layout soon, and I really need some help on how I can darken these promos like crazy.

Here is the image:

And they want their promo to resemble something along the lines of this:

What can I do to darken it up and everything?

Kinda like that? I don't know if you mess around with it a little you will most likely get something closer.

1. image > adjustments > hue/saturation set the saturation to about 80
2. Duplicate that layer and set it to multiply at 41%
3. Duplicate agian and set that to soft light 55%
4. Fill a layer with 343c3e and set it to overlay 40%

Hope that helps a wee bit at least.

Duplicate layer, set new layer to "Multiply", flatten image, lower saturation to your desire.

If it's not dark enough then duplicate the layer set to "Multiply" and adjust opacity to taste.
