I'm trying to round up some people for a sports blog.

There are men out there that for whatever reason aren't into watching sports (like myself) and find themselves in an awkward position when friends and acquaintances start talking sports talk. They won't know about the fantastic 3 pointer that turned the game or the controversial unanimous decision in last night's fight. They don't watch sports. I thought to myself, I wish there was a site where I could just get the minimal information needed to survive a conversation in sports.

I know there are some football, basketball, baseball etc fanatics on CB. If you watch a sport religiously or enough that you'd think you'd be interested enough to blog about how your team won or how some player got completely owned, reply with the sport you want to blog about. I think this would need as many people as it could possibly get.

For instance, I don't watch football on my own, but I am recently getting into Boxing. I'll probably end up doing that.

Thanks you guys for the support. That's fricken awesome. What needs to be decided now is what blog medium? Most of us are Tumblrs, and Tumblr is great for letting us know who's really checking us out. On the other hand, something like this might be more appropriate for WordPress, though I am not too familiar with it.

I found a nice WordPress theme designed by Tudinh Duong called Equilibrium, formed to give you that magazine feel. This is what I had in mind of what this blog would sorta look like.

I'm pretty familiar with Tumblr and its design. I believe I could come up with something similar in taste.

Teesa I am so happy that you are on board! I think that the NY area sports will be covered EXTREMELY well being that we have people that really know their shit about the teams inside and out up here.

WordPress was trying to tell me I needed to host myself and upload any theme myself, so I said F that, I'm going with Tumblr instead.

Check your email Teesa. Make sure you post as a photo entry, and that you tag the sport in the tags catagory. Tags work as links.

post like you normally would on your own tumblr, but when you go make a post on the left hand side there should be a dropdown box and you can select which blog you're wanting to post to
