No such thing as bad publicity...and it's still true. As long as people are talking, people are noticing, and people will keep supporting.

Since when has being a douchebag prevented anyone from being less successful? Again, Kanye's done WAY worse and he's still selling records, selling out concerts and acclaimed by critics. Say what you want about show business, but at the heart of success lies TALENT. As long as Kanye's still talented, his career is still intact.
And no, this is definitely not the worst he's done.

lol @ blaming kids english class failures on celebrities. maybe their parents and teachers should take some responsibility instead of asking kanye west to teach their kids how to write then yeah?
people expect way too much out of these musicians. their job is to make music. not hold your hand through english and etiquette school.

Kanye's proven that he knows how to speak/write. No one speaks proper english all the time. Everyone has their own slang, their own mannerisms, their own speech habits. Kanye's no different than the rest of us. I mean it's cool that you want to hate on him for typing that way on the internet, but he's not writing a letter to congress.
Also regarding Serena, she got jerked around by that one official. That was complete bull shit. Even if she wasn't going to win, they still should have let her play til the end and go out trying, go out her way. The fact that they called a bull shit penalty in such an intense moment, a stressful moment for her, was complete bull shit.

People love someone to throw stones at. I'm not defending Kanye and I do think that was a ridiculous little show he put on, but I've been hearing some crazy shit today. This one lady says that she will never buy anything he is part of now. Really? I mean... REALLY? All artists engage in some form of douchery in their career. Kanye West is just more in your face about it. People have gone way over board with this.
Also, the producers of the VMA's creamed their pants last night. This is a ratings wet dream. It is the subject matter of most conversations this morning, I can guarantee it.

We're all entitled to our individual opinions. I personally think that it's silly (and I'm not even an avid Kanye West fan).
I mean, Brad Pitt cheated on his wife but I didn't hear about people not seeing his movies because of that. Or at least, not as passionately as people are reacting to this Kanye West incident. Random comparison, I know. I just think that people like to pick and choose who and what they'll judge.

Hmmm... i'll throw in my 2 cents even if it's late.
Imagine yourself being in Taylor's Swift position. You just won your first VMA, every celeb is proud of you, your friends are proud, and most of all your family is proud. While you walk to the stage trying to keep a balance of what's happening right now because anyone would feel starstruck if they heard they just won an award. Especially if you're going up against other contestants like Beyoncé. as you begin your speech, you see another celebrity just pop out of nowhere and starts ranting about how someone should have one. You can see the expression on Taylor's face that she was just speechless and shocked.... I bet anyone would go ape shit if that happened to them. ( don't give that kanye bs that you would appreciate kanye ruining your glory when you know you want your moment to shine. ) you have to realize that it's Taylor Swift's first time winning and first time going up to VMA for her speech. you cannot go back and fix history. sorry sir kanye, but an apology isn't enough for anyone to heal their embarrassment. if you're going to make sudden outbursts globally, you should apologize the same way. that's what just seems fair to me. no drama llama, just stating the event how it happened.
/end rant

I actually for a long while stopped looking at any of their (brad and angie) films because of that.
Then I of course couldn't resist Wanted (didnt care for afterwards and felt stupid for breaking my boycott) and Inglorious basterds (worth breaking any boycott)
As for Kanye, I have been very vocal of how much of an asshat he is but when you think about it maybe its just the ignorance of youth that fuels his little outbursts and hopefully for his sake (god forbid when hes 70 years old and gets so pissed off again that his heart explodes at the VMA's 2048) he will mellow out and humbly realize yes we know hes a decent musician who anything hes made turned into a hit and not have to do what he does now to prove that. He will just show up to an event and not have to even remind everyone to "bow at the presence of greatness" it will just be fact to do so. :shrugs:
