So I just got my Corsair H50 n the mail yesterday and I tried to install it in my machine, but found that it didn't include brackets for an LGA775 socket processor if it was in a BTX motherboard. Mother fucker... I'm so aggravated right now. It doesn't say anything about not supporting BTX motherboards on their website. In fact it specifically states that all LGA 775 socket processors will be able to use the H50. Fuck, I'm so annoyed. I don't have any extra thermal grease, and now I have to go out and buy some more just so I can use my computer again. I hate it when websites don't use proper documentation for their products. Especially well known quality PC component manufacturers such as Corsair. I've already contacted corsair about it. Let's see what they say... -_- /rant

I'm not going to hack this thing into my dell. I bit the bullet and purchased a new case. I'm impressed with the Antec 300. It's got all the features of a great case at a low price point (65.00).

That ECS Black series is pretty nice. I've got a friend with one. Plenty of options in the BIOS, overclocks well, Crossfire ready. Overall good board for the price.

That MSI board is relatively crappy, but ok for the price.

I purchased the ECS Black series board. I read several reviews for both of them. While the MSI board is a great quality board for the price. The ECS board doesn't limit me as much. I'm not too good at overclocking and don't understand the math behind it. Maybe you could explain it to me sometime. What really sold me was the CrossfireX. It's one of the few motherboards that offer CrossfireX along with an LGA 775 socket. I have a 4850 and would like to add another one to my case. ;)

Got the my motherboard and installed it a few days ago. I'm really impressed with the temperature readings on the corsair H50. I haven't overclocked anything, and I'm getting a solid 31*C on full load. While idle the cores run at about 20*C. These temperatures are really low. Lower than room temperature. Very impressive.

what 20 C is like perfect temperature for a room.

My house is a constant 70* F because we have a hedgehog and it needs it. :P It's a bit cooler than room temp. None-the-less, I'm still extremely impressed with Corsairs H50.

68 F > 70 F.


also, I used to have a pet hedgehog. We still kept the house at 68 F. It died of rabies after I had it for six years.
