i just have a quick question:
what is the best CS4 program for designing a div layout?

i'm good with photoshop and know enough html and css to make a basic layout but i'm sure there's a program that will do all that for me. I already know to use imageready from photoshop to imagemap everything but i also know there's a better way.

so photoshop for the artistic part: designing the background..
then what program to add buttons, text boxes, etc. ??

There's Adobe Dreamweaver, but it won't code layouts specifically for MySpace pages. I suggest checking out this tutorial or this tutorial.

Boxes and buttons are pretty easy to make in Fireworks but if you want to just use one program for the layout then I would use Illustrator to design it.

Photoshop is good, I just like to work with vector graphics in the design stage as they can be resized over and over without any loss of quality or change in shape.

^Yeah, I often go from Illustrator to Photoshop when designing my layouts.
