Also, the last time I went swimming I thought I couldn't do a flip turn anymore, but turns out I CAN! I was pretty pleased with myself.
The kind of flip that people do when they reach the wall and have to go in the opposite direction? Flora and I were just talking about that yesterday because she recently began taking advantage of the free swimming at SFU and was frustrated that she didn't know how to do that (thus having to stop every time she reached the wall). You should teach her one day.

Yeah that sounds like nothing, but you should understand something about me when it comes to sports...I suck. I couldn't even beat the white kids at table tennis. THE WHITE KIDS!
that made me lol. And same with me. Really, swimming was the only sport I was good at.

I love swimming. My parents got me into it when I was about... I don't remember but I was pretty young. I used to take swimming classes every summer. I don't go that often anymore but since I've been going to the beach a lot lately, it's making me want to go buy a swimsuit and get into the water although it's not really the same as getting into a pool. I can open my eyes under the water but I don't do it because it hurts too much after I get out. Also there isn't much of a point since I don't have 20/20 vision. Goggles ftw! Tbh, I've never dove into a pool because I'm too scared.

Like I did once and didn't cover my nose so it hurt like a mother.
Man I wish I had a pool. My cousin used to have one like those above ground ones but then her dogs started chewing on it so it's gone :(

i hadn't been swimming in a while. i swam a shitload over this past week, and i've got to pick it up as a cardio exercise. it hit so many muscles i never work out and made me feel sore in the morning, but the good sore.

I'm most likely staying with a friend and his buddies at a beach house in the Outer Banks. Should be nice to swim at the beach there, but I prefer collecting seashells and rocks and making sandcastles.

I think there isn't one f*cking pool around where I live for about 5 miles. Not kidding. That goes for ponds, rivers, etc. too.
Anyhow, I used to swim a bunch when I was younger (you know, more energy). Now, it's not that I don't have energy, it's just I never really get a chance to go swimming a lot anymore. I haven't been to any place where I could swim (water parks, pools, rivers, lake, and/or the beach) since like 2008. And besides, I'm not really a Michael-Phelps-type swimmer (don't get me wrong, though, I can swim pretty good, but not so fast and/or "powerful" as probably most of you could).
Yeah.

It is easy for me to go swimming in the summer cause my aunt owns her own subdivision and a private neighborhood. it's pretty cool cause it gotz lions on the pool wall, and it squirts out this colorful pool color and there's a jacuzzi right above the pool. sometimes, i'll use those inflatable pool beds and slide down the jacuzzi to the pool. :)
i'll upload some videos over the summer.

When i lived downstate with no lakes near you whatsoever, i knew a lot of people who could swim.
Living up north, surrounded with water and easy access beaches...i'm so surprised of how many of my friends don't know how to swim. I would think they would because we're on lake Michigan.

So you can't use the pool in the winter? If it's an indoor pool then I don't see why it'd be open only in the summer.

I have yet to use the pool in my apartment complex since I just go to my boyfriend's parent's house. But sometimes their pool is disgustingly hot. Last time we went in, it was 90. freaking. degrees. That's just not refreshing on a hot day... it's like taking a bath or something

this is why i haven't gone to the pool all summer. went to the beach once. that was fun. didn't swim so much as get knocked backwards by the high tides.
