I made it for my temple's anniversary. I just thought it'd be interesting to hear others' opinions. And it's sort of important that I don't submit anything "ugly." (:

-THANK YOU!
btw, I can get pretty girly with my designs -_-"

It's pretty good but it seems a bit too bright, imo. The text is also kind of hard to read. >_>

Its basic, but pretty. You set the contrast and brightness a little too high. And the brushes are a little cliche but they work. You should make the grey bar a little bit transparent.

Thanks! I'll fix it (: I like basic for some reason...

Bad, but only because we are all designers. Brushes are very overused but as a final product it is pretty.

Thanks (:
I suddenly wanna start over. haha
Any advise brush-wise? I've been trying not to use the ones seen everywhere: that swirly stuff. Anyway, I didn't think it looked too typical? :\

Is this just for personal use? If so then it is fine.

haha I guess? It's just something I made just to bring to my temple.
I fixed it!!

-THANKS!

I forgot about the bar -_-"

It looks pretty clean. :] And it's good you toned down the brightness of the image. I like the colors of the brushes; they go well together. Font looks nice as well, but I think you can find something better.

Posts merged. I agree with Mark. There's nothing bad about it, but it's not exactly amazing.

i think that u should use a different script font. jane austen is a too non formal for the use with an anniversary. mayb somethin a bit cleaner.

I've never been good enough to hit "amazing," but thank you for all the advise! (:
I'm going to change the font now. I've never been good with fonts, any ideas?

Maybe some kind of sans-serif font?

This might take awhile. My computer can't handle it... My photoshop keeps closing on me!!

Um... Is that any better? Fonts and I just don't connect too well....

Kathy, I merged some of your posts since you were double and triple posting.
I think
this one looks the best. Some subtle editing to the photo would look nice as well. :)

I wish the picture wasn't so high in contrast/brightness. It looks like it's a lovely place. Which temple is that? It reminds me of a temple I used to visit in Hacienda Heights, CA.

I AM RE-DOING THIS ENTIRE PROJECT. Took me a day to realize how extremely dead it is. Thank you for all the advise though! <3

I think I like this picture better anyway. So how does this look? Is it better than my other one? Anything I should change on this one?

It's alright, but I'd like it better if you removed those little grid lines and the red text is pretty hard to read so you should try darkening that some.

My friend told me to remove the heart. Should I do that as well?
Well, I fixed what you told me(:
Still deciding about the heart?

Ehh... I think you should just lower the opacity some.

Aw.. it's too late, I already printed it. That would have been great though. Everyone else was like either get rid of it or keep it. :\
