In a study were investigated 339 adults, ages 18 to 70. They were recruited from the Wellington region and putted into four groups: cannabis only (75 people), tobacco only (92 people), combined cannabis and tobacco (91), and non-smokers of either substance (81).

My teacher is around 70 years old, has been a cigarette smoker since 20, and he's in fine shape today. No lung problems, no heart problems, greatly, no cancer! Same with my maternal grandmother and my father. Yes, the risks are high but DOES NOT guarantee health problems. Even less of a "no guarantee" if your not a chain smoker. And like I said, you don't experience any instant effects like you do when smoking weed. Cigarettes just calm you down and relieves stress.

I can't say anything that's already been said, besides the fact that you need to do some research about the links of death and cancer to cigarettes. You may know two people who have not suffered health issues due to their cigarette smoking, but that doesn't mean they are in the majority. My mother's 40something year old cousin was a doctor and died of throat of cancer a few months ago. He never smoked, but was around those who did. I wonder how many deaths your teacher's smoking has attributed to in the past 20 years.

Im not a weed smoker however i do know a handful of people who smoke weed or do some other stuff. I wouldn't say i agree with them doing it or i guess anyone in that matter but i'm not going to go up to them and assume that they have a low gpa or preach about how illegal it is. I actually know one kid who smoked weed for a while (i don't know if he does now) but he is a real smart kid and always has been. Also cigarettes aren't any healthier. My grandpa died of throat cancer because of cancer and millions more died of lung cancer. So i wouldn't skip around saying how much better it is.
