should convicted killers/child molesters who die in prison be permitted the privilige of burial rites; including funeral, cemetary burial, and flowers?
or should their corpse be disposed of in municipal landfills where it will rot, metaphorically and literally, with society's trash?
are convicted murderers/pedophiles entitled to such a ceremony? would you approve if a mass murderer's grave rested next to your grandmother's grave?

sure.. they can get a burial. Why not? Who cares if they're next to my grandmother.. they're dead.
edit:
honestly, i think that would be totally cool. i would brag about it.

I doubt that deceased pedos would really care how their bodies were disposed of.
I think it's really more for the people the deceased were close to, and their memory of that person.
I wouldn't mind if grandmother's grave was next to a convicted murderer or a pedophile. She's not going to care. She's christian anyway, so her body's useless after death.

Ya, I think all of them deserve a funeral and such. Just because they are criminals doesnt mean that they dont have people who love them. Let the courts decide their fate for their crime, not where they are laid to die. I guess it would just be up to the people who are close to them.
Do I care if my grandmother is laying next to a murderer? No, they're dead.

They're human, they should be allowed a proper burial. Who are we to call them trash and desecrate their bodies like that? Those kinds of people usually had had something bad happen to them or have some funky chemical imbalance/weird psychological disorder. Not an excuse, but just something to be understanding about. Just be happy they died.

I love how you bring this debate up, and then Michael Jackson dies.
Conspiracy theory time.

Funerals are too expensive. I had to help my dad throw my overweight grandmother over a bridge. Even though we told her we would give her a great funeral. But she was dead so she wouldn't know.

That's up to him and his people. If he left a will stating what he wanted to happen in case of his death, then his family should honor those wishes. If not, they should do what they feel is appropriate.
When I die, burn my body, and scatter my ashes here:

Yeah, i would be perfectly fine with it. What's done is done &its over now. Whatever they did, they had a reason for.
The reason may not be legitimate, but everyone must be forgiven. Everything happens for a reason.
&When you die, i believe that your soul is released and it breaks free from all earthly things, &we are all one &the same.
We all deserve the ceremonial rites &burials, because beneath all that evil that everyone sees, they are just like us.

I think they should have a proper burial. They're dead anyway and i think a funeral helps a family grieve. It's like their final goodbye to their loved one. No matter what they did they were still someones brother, sister, mom, dad, whatever.

they should be buried like anyone else. it's not like being buried in the cemetery is really that great of an honor in the first place. once again i see no point in trying to further insult someone after they have died. this is completely petty considering the person who you would feel is "deserving" of this is completely unaware of this pointless punishment. this is essentially just disrespecting the people who are still alive and could still care about them in some way, their family, who didn't do anything wrong.
i don't get why people wanna do a "ha! take that!" after someone is dead and isn't going to know anyway. i doubt the thought of being thrown in a landfill after you are dead and don't care would deter any crime either if that's supposed to be the point of sending a "message".
