so i'm really self concious about mine :/ i guess im girly & i like to wear flip flops but because of my bunions, i dont like to wear them. i hate it when people find out cause i think its embarrassing. like, when i look at other girls feet, its like perfectly straight and they can actually put their feet together. they can wear flip flops and whatever shoes they want. i would wear flip flops, but if i do i dont want to go somewhere and see someone i know and have them see my feet then go off and tell other people at school. i also read online that mostly girls get them? but yeah i hate it so much. and yeah i know you can get it surgically removed, but when i was googling it a couple years ago, i read that this one person got it surgically removed and now he/she cant walk so i def. dont wanna do that o.O ugh, how can i get over this? :[ my mom said that when i was little (probably up til like 7-10?) i never had it. then i noticed it like maybe when i was like 12? i dont know. but because of this i HATE feet. and i dont see a lot of people i personally know with bunions. makes me feel even worst. how can i get over this stupid thing? guys, help me feel better =(

oh yeah and i forgot to mention, i also read that it can be passed down from your parents? well my dad has it too.. and so does his mom (my grandma) :/ but mines arent as bad as theirs i dont think? my right foots bunion is bigger than my left. my left is ALMOST close to normal. but.. not really..

well are yours that bad? I mean some people have them really badly. Maybe talk to your doctor about a good way to go about treating it.

well i dont know how bad is bad? but im just really embarrassed about it and i would LOVE to be able to wear flip flops this summer & shorts. when i wear flip flops, i have to wear long flare jeans that would cover the bunion. other than that, i wont wear them :/

im a guy &i have bunions too. maybe the fact that im a guy makes me not really care about them.
&i saw your pic, &it doesn't look that severe. &who's gonna make fun of you?
probably people you don't care about &don't care about you, so it doesn't really matter what they think.
just wear your flip flops. &go talk to your doctor about them
there are many alternatives to having them surgically removed.

i just dont want people i see from school to see it and be like "did you know she has bunions? hahahaha" & like i dont have a lot of friends at school either. i've also been thinking.. people dont really look at feet? i feel like im the only one that does to see if they have bunions too.. o_O

Its not that big of a deal. My mom has one about that size. It just makes shoe shopping difficult. But it's no reason to be self conscious.
