how do i start from scratch and put picture over picture using adobe
EmeraldKnight
Create a new layer and paste the picture onto the new layer (wait.. I think it automatically creates a new layer when you paste it..)

Have you tried it yet?

EDIT:// You do mean Adobe Photoshop, right? not Illustrator or something..
totleisonxd
no .. but i kinda wanna start with white... and then add pictures from there.. thats still called layering?
totleisonxd

EmeraldKnight
Try not to double post

And well try it.. it should still work.. I assume you're copying/pasting your pics from elsewhere.. right?

Ok..
So you have your blank sheet..

Just open up the picture you want to add.. either Control + A to select the whole thing or use the selection tool to select a portion.. copy and paste it onto your blank sheet

It should be created in a new layer

Then repeate with a different image which should appear on a layer above the previous one..

Well you can adjust the opacity to make the top semi transparent if you like.. sometimes you want it to cover up though.. it depends
