Apparently using the <img src="url"> code doesn't work

is there not any options when you're writing the post to insert an image?
for instance i have this, the square next to upload/insert is an insert image thingy and you can upload from your computer or put in a url and it will do the work for you

I'm so dumb hahah. I looked at that thing like 3 times and completely missed it. Thanks a bunch
no worries. they did make it really easy to overlook for some unknown reason by making all those things looked grayed out.
