No, in the sense that Linux is a completely different kernel; yes in the sense that most Unixes and Linux are what's called POSIX-compliant (POSIX is a standard for operating system design) and for the most part, they use compatible libraries, so software that compiles under Linux will usually compile under BSD Unix, and vice-versa. mostly goes for Unixes like Sun's Solaris, too.)

Depends on the specific version of Unix, but if it doesn't it's easy enough to compile/install.
