I am so tired of Firefox refreshing each time I go anywhere! It's driving me insane. How the hell do I make it stop? I currently use a mac, but before I used a PC I found something that made it stop.

Help me. ):

lol... my firefox isn't auto refreshing... is there a setting that does that?

Do you have any add ons? Maybe you installed the auto refresh add on, or the add on that refreshes when you get to the bottom of a page. ANd you do know that when you click a link it takes you to another page and gives the appearance of refreshing right?

there is no setting that has the Auto-Refresh feature.. maybe its just the site that you were on or somethin...

I have no add ones what so ever. I only downloaded Firefox then the updates when it gave me the pop up for the latest version. That's it.

It auto refreshes on all sites, no matter where I go.

That seems a little strange..

Could be some kind of malware.

Make sure the "F5" button isn't messed up or has dust/dirt etc.. under the F5 button. One way you can check if the F5 button is being pressed is by opening up a keyboard layout, if you see the F5 button being active, then it's a problem with your keyboard, if not... then you must have some sort of application installed onto your firefox. They're typically used by techs if the keyboard is busted. Also for people who a bit blind and need a bigger layout of the keyboard.

(actually the keyboard layout might not work if you have the older type of keyboard, the newest ones will show on the keyboard layout if a button is being pressed or not)

FF used to have a refresh blocker addon, but it's been a while since I've searched addons. You might want to google for that.

I've had this issue with a few sites, but certainly not all sites. FF has been sort of buggy lately for some reason. For example, my iGoogle homepage loads ridiculously slow.

thats why you get the New FF 3.5 Beta like i did.. happy.gif
