When you guys submit something, do you guys decide if it gets accepted or not, or do you have to wait?
P.S. Sorry if this post is in the wrong place.

When a person who is on Design Staff submits something he or she waits until another Design Staff member or Head Staff or Admin goes into the queue. It's in poor taste for a DS member to accept their own work, because that's not the point of the queue. If a Design Staff member submits something and it is the next thing to be reviewed in the queue but none of the aforementioned staff members are online then they can skip their own submission and keep reviewing other submissions. That's pretty much the only exception to skipping in the queue (besides a bad source or messed up code which makes it technically impossible to accept or reject a submission). Nowadays, you can see who has accepted submissions which makes it so that someone can't be sneaky and just accept their own mediocre or bad submissions.
Does that answer you question?

We don't accept our own graphics. Even though our submissions are very rarely rejected because we know the guidelines and had to have some sort of skill to get hired in the first place, it's just fair to the other members. Plus, like Dee said, it looks bad because the submission info says who reviewed it.
