I'm a protestant, so Jesus.

You can't have one without the other. Both Satan and Jesus are real. Satan was an angel who challenged God. God then banished him from the Kingdom. I'm assuming this is more a question of who do you worship? I worship God and Jesus.

Everything in this world is in opposites, so that means... Satan is the opposite of God... and without God, there would be no Satan.... but then it leads to the question of, if there was no God, would there be suffering? (That is supposidly caused by Satan)

i dont believe in the devil or jesus. i am a jew and i believe in G-d. i think that this is a very limiting question and i also think that it was very stupid to say:

as the first post. it does not specify. it is also a very closeminded topic because it includes very few religions. you should open the spectrum more when you post.

what about people not from your religion. if i am not mistaken, this is not the christian forum and maybe people from other religions worship what you call the devil. they may worship him under a different name. you never know. to them he might bring the same things as you god brings to you.

um every Jewish person i know believes in Jesus and teh devil...they dunt believe Jesus is the Son of God thou, they believe He is a Great Prophet, i believe He is the Son of God...but as far as the devil goes, Jews believe in the Torah...which is the Old Testament of the Bible which clearly talks about the devil

I don't know if God is real, or if Jesus ever walked this earth. But I do know that their is a difference between good and evil. And that the way it's always been it's the way it'll stay. As constant as change in itself.

He/she was right when he/she said that you should be able to think for yourself instead of what the Bible tells you... after all, God gave you "free will" right?

But that's not what's in the bible. People agree with the bible and that's why they say that they would believe anything the bible said, because they obviously agree with everything in the bible. People have a choice if they want to agree with the bible or not. If you don't agree with the bible or torah or w/e. Tough, there are many that do so. You just have to be able to tolerate what other believe or think. Saying something is stupid because they believe in something or agree with something is an opinion, an opinion i think that should not be said. It's their faith. No one can question someone's faith. That's just wrong.

As for answering this thread. I don't really know what i believe in. I was raised catholic but i don't know yet. I'm still questioning and finding out what i believe in.

a) freedom of speech. if you are able to voice your opinion that why cant I?

b) i disagree with the torah in the fact that I dont believe that Jesus was a phrophet. I believe he was an ordinary man. I dont believe in jesus. i believe in G-d.

I didn't say you couldn't voice your opinion, i just said in my opinion it's wrong to say something is stupid because you don't believe in something that others do. In my opinion you could have used a better word than stupid. In my prior post i could have said something in your post was stupid, but i choose not to. Saying something is stupid can come out offensive especially about religion.

G-d is merely a figure that watches over us. he has given us free will and tthe tools to do what we wish with our lives. He has given us commandments and religious texts, but those are only CHOICES that we are allowed to make. there are no such things as leading a good life or a bad life. there is merley lfie itself. and during your life you are allowed to do what ever you please. if you choose not to read religious texts it does not condem you to anything but yourself. you are allowed to choose in what you belive and people do so. G-d gives us things so that we have choices, he does not mean that we MUST do as he says. otherwise there would be no free will. there is no bigger picture. sure, all things have a reason, but that does not mean that G-d is involed. last time i checked i had a brain and i had reasons for doing what i do.

But most people haven't read the bible. I myself have read the whole thing, and I assure no where in it does Jesus say: 'Go jump offa cliff.' But what about the Gnostic Gospels, the parts that were edited out by Constantine?

The few that have survived are quite interesting. For instance, they make out Jesus as not some kind of Deity as the Holy Bible tends to do. But a normal man. One who married and had kids.
