Yeah Avenged Sevenfold is one of my favorite bands.

I can't stand them.

I thought they sucked live and I don't like their songs. Their video, which plays constantly on MTV, is idiotic and annoying.

That's just my opinion. A lot of my friends like them, I just disagree.

speaking of pantera, i don't know if they did this everywhere, but i went to columbus to see avenged sevenfold (i'm from pittsburgh) and they did the most badass cover of "walk" that i've ever heard. i hope they didn't do it anywhere else, cause that'd be sick as f**k if they just did it in columbus where dimebag died in an awesome tribute.

City of Evil is basically them going back to their roots, before all the screaming.

Avenged Sevenfold is metalcore, not death metal, and an awful metalcore band at that. Back when they weren't big, they were TOLERABLE, now they're just awful. By the way, this is coming from someone who listens to a lot of older (iron maiden, ozzy, etc.) and newer metal (Bodom, In Flames, etc). Ax7 is just another modern rock band. One thing I would say I like about them are that they use guitar solos, which hopefully are coming back in more mainstream music. If you want a good metalcore band though, listen to Trivium. They're the best metalcore I've heard.
