Hey:)

me again i found this picture that i really like and i'd really like to know how to do this any ideas?

i just like the effect and i'm wondering on the cutting, and getting the images that size and the colouring?

eek.gif wow, that image isn't really friendly to the eyes. Well, I guess she used a light-ish blue or maybe even a light blue to pink gradient on a new layer set to exclusion. Then, just mess with the opacity and other levels like saturation and hues. I think the person just used the polygonal select tool and outlined each image, then inverted the selection and hit delete. Idk, there could be a lot of ways. shrug.gif

texture (maybe even a scan) of a sheet of binder paper with some brushes on top with text. as for the cut outs of miley, it looks to me like the creator cut her out and inverted the images (horizontally, vertically) and adjusted the size with each individual one.
the pinkish swirls make it look like a gradient but i think it's just the way they were blended. the miley pictures look over-saturated. but that could be from the blending mode.

The creator could've also done a whole lotta posterizing or somethin' to Miley. _unsure.gif

Hmmm, it looks like a really bad attempt to make a banner, Just try your worst tongue.gif

Lol..

For the background image, the notebook looks like either a scan of a regular notebook or a texture. You can find a lot of those on photobucket or livejournal.

The swirls on the background looks like brushes. www.outspoken-kate.com has similar brushes to those and she also carries brushes that could help you.

The miley cyruses seem to be ONE single picture. first you have to cut out your subject. she just made duplicate layers of the picture. she rotated the subjects, and she also mirrored the mileys to give some unique style. the mileys also looks like they're contrasted to a high number, so mess around.

the fonts to me in those pictures are extremely gruesome to the eyes. i suggest using a font that matches the atmosphere of the banner and also soothing to the eyes.

hope my ranting helps..
