alcohol doesn't really wake people up. and i doubt the "initial rush" you get from drinking would help you focus.

Alcohol is a depressant. It does the opposite.

Err, no. If you're looking for something to wake you up, try coffee. It may make you have to piss a river, but at least your brain will be in the right state.

Looooool, for testing week, juniors and seniors didn't have to come to school until 11:15 and my friend was one of them. When I saw him in Spanish class & gave him a hug, he was like, "Monicaaa, I just had like 8 shots of Henny & I'm so dead right now." He fell asleep during class, LOL. Alcohol definitely doesn't boost your energy or anything like that for school.

^ this.

Also, alcohol screws up your sleep cycle so you don't get enough REM sleep, which is when you do all your memory processing. So alcohol screws up your memory in the long-run as well.

The best thing to do if you want to retain the most information and stay awake during lecture is to get 8 hours of sleep the night before, and get 8 hours consistently.
creole
blame it on the al-al-al-alchohol.
