What are others doing to inject text-only posts into an otherwise audio-only blog w/ RSS and Podcast feeds?
I've developed an audio blog from scratch in ColdFusion. Each post incorporates an MP3 music single with descriptive text and automatically populates the web blog, rss and podcast feeds, as you might expect. It's shaping up nicely - can't wait to go live!
But it now occurs to me that I will want to post text-only announcements in my audio blog (e.g., "No music this month - I'm on vacation!") WITHOUT audio content. I can visualize this for the web blog but, for the RSS and Podcast feeds, I'm not so sure. For example, does a Podcast feed even support text-only posts or must I omit all text-only posts from the feed?
Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
