So, i known this guy since forever. He's basically my best friend and we've known eachother since elementary until now our high school years. Until recently he has a new friend, we don't get long. She's a very tricky person and make up little lies. We have a problem with each other. Most of his other friends actually dislike her too, he's the only one whose close to her. Lately we argue about her all of the time and he admits she's a bad person and he also said he doesn't want to be friends with anymore. I encouraged it and he did it. Suddenly it backfired and he started ignoring me and my friends instead. Having this argument with him so many times i finally gave up and told him that i don't want to be friends with him anymore and listed every possible reasons i can have. His reaction was something far off, he became angry and in the end told me he respected my decisions and just a flat out he doesn't know how to respond and bye. I think what i did is right but i'm doubting it now

Friends come and go. I don't know why you come to a design site for relationship advice from strangers. You and him are friendly, so tell him what's on your mind; ask him what's wrong; communicate.

If your best friend isn't being your best friend at the moment, you should let him go. Best friends always tend to fight, and if you guys can overcome it then thats great. If not, screw it and don't go back.
