Ok, I know that the tracker is not always on-spot accurate, but how come some people's ip addresses show up like this?
Feb 21 7:33 pm · Napa, California, US - very specific
Feb 23 6:11 am · Dublin, Dublin, IE - sort of specific
Feb 23 4:18 am · Unknown, Unknown, JP - not specific
Feb 22 2:08 pm · Unknown, Unknown, Unknown - not specific at all
And how come some ip's already show up as id'd even though I never identified them?
patrick_is_my_fall_out_boy (64.136.27.229) Big Bear City, California, United States
And is there any way to tell what I am being identified as by someone else's tracker (ie: if I'm like the examples above: already id'd, or totally anonymous, or somewhat anonymous)

I think that pre-ID'd people are registered users.
Proxies will get people into unknown territory.
I don't know if there is a way to find out if you're being tracked.

Yeah people who are already identified are registered users.
As far as the telling whether or not you're identified, I can tell you. Just go to my profile & I'll let you know if you show up on my tracker.

^I left you a comment while I was there (:
Oh, but I just realized, shouldn't I be id'd anyway, because I'm a registered user?

Haha I saw it. I commented back ;)
No. I don't know why you don't show up but what I've noticed is that if someone has a tracker on another site, like Myspace or LJ, the profile will show up in the tracker. If not, you won't show up.

^ (:
But...That's funny because I have a tracker on my blogger & myspace :/ Maybe, is it different for everyone?

Don't IP address only have names if somebody manually identified them? Like a friend came onto my blog once and she showed up as 'Anonymous' until I clicked 'Identify this IP' and put her Xanga username in.
And yeah, the location tracker is really off. The cB tracker says I'm in Blaine, Washington. =\

Maybe. I don't think Jusun has perfected this yet so maybe that's why.

Yeah.

Well she doesn't have a cB tracker and she shows up. Same with a bunch of other IP addresses.

Well there's my dilemma :P
I guess it's different for everyone. For me, I have a lot of users that I never manually identified, but are id'd, with a pic, link to their website, username, and everything. And they don't have a cB tracker.
Anyway, I really wanted to know how I showed up to others, because there's someone who has been visiting my website lately and copying my ideas off it (I tracked & id'd correctly, so I know who it is) but I wanted to know how I'm showing up on their tracker... or if I'm showing up at all. I check back to their blog every so often to see what's been used from mine, but I don't want it to seem like I'm doing what they're doing :/

^ That just means somebody else ID'd them before. Identified people don't have to have the cB tracker to be ID'd.
Click on my blog link in my signature and I'll tell you if you show up in my tracker.

Okay you showed up as this:
Anonymous (72.235.133.49)
Feb 24 9:53 pm · Hana, Hawaii, US
I have no idea why you didn't show up in Natalia's. =\

Feb 25 2009, 12:54 AM
^Oh I get it now. I thought you had to manually id people yourself.
Anyway, did I show up?

Feb 25 2009, 12:58 AM
Yeah, I don't get why I didn't show up for hers either :/

Feb 25 2009, 12:59 AM
Well you did but not as a register user.

Feb 25 2009, 01:07 AM

Wait I'm confused.

You show up as how you showed up on Joanne's tracker.

^That's what I meant lol.
I thought when you said I "didn't show up" you meant that I showed up as entirely anonymous

Sorry!

I guess I'll leave this open incase you need something or someone can help you out.

Speaking of Ip adresses
can people find where you live just by your cell-phone number?

Probably. But that has nothing to do with IP addresses.
