what do you listen to for inspiration?

generally, when i write anything, whether it's an essay for class or a creative writing piece i'm doing for myself, i need to have some sort of music on in the background.

i've found a few tracks i really like. mostly instrumental/electronic/etc:

gustavo santaolalla - north country

saltillo - a necessary end

and this isn't just instrumental, but it helps me write:

sia - breathe me

anything by explosions in the sky, royksopp, tiesto, AIR, the American Beauty soundtrack... or anything trance, classical, instrumental, etc, or in a foreign language.

i can't function while listening to music i can sing along with, especially when i'm trying to write.

what music inspires you?
