I wasn't sure if this was supposed to go in the Showcase booth.. I'm not showcasing anything.

Someone requested me to make them a layout, but they were extremely vague in describing what they wanted it to be like.



I asked what she wanted the layout to look like, and she responded with the quote above.

Umm.. is it just me, or is that absurdly vague?

I know she likes the simplicity of this.
I know that she likes the colors blue, brown, and gray.
I know she is openly creative
Nothing really annoys her in a layout
She wants her username displayed in it

halp mee?

Just do a setup like that layout, but just use different fonts and colors?

Grr, I hate it when people aren't specific when requesting layouts. hehe.

Hmm, yeah you could just use different shades of the colors? different fonts and sizes.

I say just make the layout exactly the same but change the colors and background pattern.

I forgot to mention that she wants the layout to scroll with the page, so that leaves the layout I'm using out of the question! :3

well, i think a 1 column layout would work.
do something with those colors as like a pattern background.
and sometimes a few swirl brushes could work as well.
just my opinion.

so definitely work with swirls as like the accents of the website and those colors for like links and an awesome pattern background.

i dunno if you've tried Colourlovers but that's a good place for patterns.

Well I'd suggest getting use to things like this. Most people you make layouts for or any design work typically don't know what the f*ck they are talking about or know what they want.

Make something that is extremely similar and use a different color scheme. Then when you show it them, if they love it...great. If they want you to change something about it then they'll let you know.
