Aight I probably made like 3 or 4 topics asking for what laptop I should get over the course of 3 years, and I still haven't gotten one. I think I'm sold for a 17" macbook pro though.

do they got warranty and all that ish, or at least you can take your mac that you bought from them to the Apple store and they'll fix it or whatever

Macmall is really weird. Check out some of their reviews, their customer service seems to be hot and cold.

I'd rather just pay a few hundred more and buy it legit from Apple. You're already spending a lot of money, why not just pay a bit more and avoid the hassle?

Macmall is legit, its one of the largest places to get apple items besides getting it from apple directly.

Honestly though I would just pay the extra and just buy it from apple.


What do you plan to do with your laptop? I was going to get a mac but later just got a XPS from dell. I like it, haven't had any issues with it.

My dad was gonna get my bro an XPS, actually it came in the mail today, but he changed his mind to a Mac and we're just gonna return the XPS

For someone like you AC, ( I think its you O_O) I would say to get a damn good mac. I think you would really really happy with one and I'm sure if you get a damn good one it will meet you expectations.

If your good with computers, I wouldn't suggest upgrading through apple. They charge you way more than what its worth. Even though it voids your warranty to change the parts if you know how to do it the right way just buy the parts from other places and change em' out.

A gateway? god I haven't seen one of those in ages. I always hated them...and for that much buy a normal macbook if you really want a mac.

Has anyone thought about putting mac os x on a desktop not made by apple?
Cause I dont want an imac cause I cant get bigger screens and stuff.
So i might buy a good setup and then put os x on itwhich is what everyone likes aboue a mac anyway.

Yea, its really easy. You just need to find a hacked version of OSX and install it. Of course its against the rules for me to give you any other information on it or links, so good luck to ya.
