^ yah, that's where i went. i'm just weighing the price vs. its actual worth. yes, if i were to pursue my own business venture it would definitely be worth it, but right now i'm just a baby playing in the big kids' sandbox ;o
i was just wondering if anyone here actually ever registered a trademark to simply have a name or logo trademarked.

I've never actually gone through it but I have had to go to a lawyer for a client because they we're trademarking their business logo, website, etc.
So every person I've ever had to deal with getting things trademarked and registered they've gone through a lawyer. Not sure how old you are, but if your under 18 I really wouldn't bother. Our minds change over time and we like other things better and we grow out of things and it would be a waste of money to trademark something that you may not want later.
I've seen that you can do it online for some fee though. Not sure how that goes but it can't be that hard.

^What do you mean whats the point? If you plan to use the name in a business or something then that would be a very good and valid point.

^But why would that be useful?
