And no, Kanye didn't e-mail me, he e-mailed the write of the music blog Pretty Much Amazing! Hence the "From Pretty Much Amazing" before the the quote.

Yeah it sounds like Kanye, though isn't Japanese Cartoon some sort of another musical direction for Lupe, this is pretty much same Kanye but without samples. I'm thinking a step down. But hey what do I know.

I don't think they're all that dissimilar. They're both doing rock things, although TBG is rapping as opposed to (doing some lame version of) rock-singing.

i'm listening to it now... it doesn't sound like Kanye to me. it does sound like somebody i've heard before though.... i can't put my finger on it. i kinda like the sound. not paying attention to the lyrics. they were right about "Lying" being lazy. it's kind of a drag.
