i avoid eating greasy food as a rule. not just for health reasons, but because of a medical treatment i'm going through. i would though, if put in that situation.

I HAVE AN ODD REASON OF PUTTING LAYS ORIGINAL CHIPS DIPPED IN KETCHUP.

FOR SOME REASON IT TASTES LIKE FRENCH FRIES.

My mom always put my drink at the top right-hand corner of my plate, but I move it to the left-hand corner. I eat with my right hand, so it's more convenient to drink with my left hand.

I do this too but..opposite since I'm left-handed.

how did i forget this...? i eat my food in accordance to its colour placement in the rainbow.

so if i had an egg with strawberries, an orange and milk for breakfast, i would drink the milk first [white light comes before colour], then eat the strawberries, the orange, and then the egg.

I like weird stuff though. Like pepper in Pepsi and salt in certain kinds of ice creme.

I put bbq sauce on my chocolate cake. eyebrowes.gif .

When I eat cookies I put them in milk and crush them and then eat them like that. & with chocolate milk I take sips of it from the spoon and then drink some and put it in the freezer .

From what I understand, the already minimal budget at Food & Wine has been slashed, again, which puts a serious crimp on the features, writers, etc. that can be used to put together each issue.

Oh! Another habit: I dip my breakfast "sausage" in maple syrup. Done it ever since I was a little kid. There's something about the combination of sweet, savory, and salty.

I can't remember *not* doing that. :)

I do that with ranch Doritos and ham cheese and mustard sandwiches xD.
When I eat things like M&M's and Skittles, I have to put the same number of them on one side of my mouth as the other.

Totally reminds me of Breakfast Club.

I sniff everything before I eat. I have to smell it first, or I won't eat it.

well this sounds completely different then everyone elses, but when im chopping up cucumbers. I chop the ends of first and like rub it right where i cut it off from. Its hard to describe but supposadely it takes away the bitter taste some cucumber can have. If i dont do it i cant eat it.

Yeah, that's the best thing about Greek food, the cucumber sauce because it adds this bitter, yet sweet taste to the sauces.

Whenever I eat Yoshinoya I eat the vegetables first with some rice, and then eat the chicken with the rest of the rice.

The bitterness doesn't come from the yogurt and the dill?

I dab my pizza too! Then i fold it, then once i get near the crust, i rip it in half, Idk why, i just do, lol
&I ALWAYS drink milk with my cup-a-noodle / ramen [:
datass
i always twirl my pasta and/or noodles onto a spoon, then put it in my mouth.
unless im very thirsty, i drink in small sips.
i like drinking the cup noodle soup.
when i eat dimsum, i wash the cups/chopsticks/bowl/plate with hot water or hot tea, then rinse it out onto a bigger bowl, which the waiters/waitresses will take away.
usually dont order drink during meals
eat the crust of the pizza first, until im holding onto a tiny piece of the crust, then i chew away at the other side.
do not share drinks.

Nope...thats kinda the point to take away the bitterness.

  • Hmm. I do the same with my pizza. It's nasty having all that grease on there.
  • I also like having a wide variety of condiments lined up by my food, like ketchup, mustard, ranch, bbq sauce. I like trying different combinations.
  • When I eat curly fries, I like to eat the smaller pieces and save the big coiled ones for last. tongue.gif
  • I was taught to eat food with a spoon and fork. Basically, I use the fork to shovel rice and other food into the spoon, then eat it. There have been a few times where people are like, "I've never seen anyone do that before." or "That's weird." I never realized that a majority of people don't do it. I've been told it's a Filipino thing.

I have to eat all of one item at once. Like if I order a burger and fries, I always eat the burger first, drink half my drink, eat my fries, and drink the other half of my drink.

^ My eldest brother eats the burger, then the fries, and then drinks. It's odd that he doesn't alternate between them...

My mom does this. Whenever I'm at the dinner table, I'll use my finger and push the food against it so that it goes into my spoon or fork. I don't do that when I go out to eat, though. I always make a fool of myself when eating anything with noddles. The "swirling your fork on your spoon" trick doesn't even work for me.

Some of it does, sure. I guess it's subjective to personal taste interpretations, but I think that cucumbers have a bittersweet taste that really compliments the typical greek sauce used in things like gyros.
