I know i post the majority of computer threads and it seems im always in the market for a new computer and im never quite content with what i have. But i wanna know if you could have any computer setup what would it be?!
Mac?
Pc?
Desktop?
Laptop?
Duel screens?
What size screens?
I decided that if i do get a new pc desktop ill do this:
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?...uct_id=10859072http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=2470288http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?...uct_id=10629575http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=9904254600 bucks for all that!
That would be 4gb ram 250Gb hard drive.
wireless and a pretty good proccessor.
with a 20" screen! and then id buy a second later.
Or ill get an imac.
or ill keep what i have.
which is a 17" laptop.

Thats a good deal. But you would probably need a better graphics card if you're getting it at that price. Mine was close to $3000 with similar specs, but a high end GPU and motherboard.
You might also want to get a better cooling system, and maybe a different wireless card, I've had issues with that one in the past.

I've never tried, but probably not.
I personally like the Logitech G15, but for the most part, a keyboard is a keyboard.

just my current one has big keys and its hard to adjust.
My main debate right now is wether to trade my laptop for the desktop right now.
Most of the time its on a desk but but i like sitting on couch with it and occasionaly taking it places but thats not a big deal.

A custom machine that I built on Apple's website that came out to a total of $42k +/- No way in hell would I ever spend that much unless I was literally a multi-millionaire.

What the f*ck did you put in it? Apple computers don't need that much shit in it.
Edit:
I just made one, $27k, and still isn't as powerful as my computer.

I don't understand why you people invest so much money on computers. I would understand if you guys were Design, or Computer majors or something. Other than that, I don't see why.

How, pray tell, is a $27,000 computer
not more powerful than your desktop machine?

I think he means he made a computer on the website that cost 27k, and it wasn't as good as a computer he had. he didn't actually buy a 27k$ computer.

Go to Apple's website and build the best machine you can... you don't have to buy it. But the price is just outrageous.

Ah Apple. They tend to overcharge on EVERYTHING seriously. My Apple earphones was messed up, so I tried buying new ones through their website, but they priced those white earphones that almost everyone has, for $30. Why would I pay $30 on earphones that won't even last me more than a year?

How is it good, if their damn Earphones dies out less than a year, and they charge $30 for it? At most it should be around $15. You're hyping up Apple products imo.

Not true. Their stuff is almost always sub-par. Mac computers run for double the price, with half the value.

My headphones are $80 Behringers, which is known to be a shitty overpriced brand, and they've lasted me for nearly 3 years.

I'll be honest, I don't have a problem with Apple/Mac but I avoid them like diseases. But that's the beauty of economics 101 (supply and demand)... popularize a product and people would be willing to spend big money on it, and once it becomes a "trend" in high price... they set it as the standard for their other products.

I'm gonna have to agree... Linux by far is the best OS. Majority of corporations especially banks use Unix/Linux, mainly for stability and security.

Linux
That depends on what you do with it. If you play a lot of games, then Windows is the way to go. If you do pretty much anything else, Linux is where it's at.

Any OS is customizable through coding edits.
