And if we end up getting a marketplace forum added, the staff is going to have to work harder to make sure nobody posts something thats probably illegal. I mean, they already have enough problems with people doing that already.

more than just layout, like wordpress, joomla, phpBB3 themes etc.. The wordpress submission has major problems that Jusun should fix. No one ever goes and does anything on the request forums anyways cause no ones getting paid, I have wordpress themes i could sell. It seems like a lot of forums have theses and maybe we could open up new staff positions for marketplace forum, seeming that many people want to be on staff anyways like KINGdinguhling

Well if he starts this up, he'll have to stay around the maintain it. And he hasn't really shown anyone that he can do that. Like everything, there are probably going to be a few glitches in how it works, and he will be the only one who can fix it. I don't want it to be a case where people get pissed at mods and end up disliking cb because Jusun is the only one who can fix/change things.

Real talk. I know you're not trying to bash dude, but you really put him out there by simply being truthful. I wonder what keeps him so busy?

I completely understand that it's a lot of work to run a place like cb and still be able to keep up with your personal life, but I also think he would be able to make it a little easier on himself if he gave admins more power (which we lost after the Suz issue). Admins could look over the forum and profiles part of cb and he could take care of the marketplace and submissions side of it. He'd cut out a lot of work. If I were him I wouldn't be able to enjoy this place, because every time he comes here there is a list of technical stuff he has to do.

for real. i don't have sympathy for him because he makes it hard on himself. all he has to do is give our admins enough power to actually run this place right and everyone would stop bitching at him for constantly running off. it would be great if our staff could really do the things they want to do.

no offense to whatever his problems are but i have had family problems and it never made it where i couldn't take 5 minutes at some point in a few months to respond to someone's messages/emails/calls especially when those are people who are running something that makes me money. i'm just saying.

If Jusun is really serious about making this a "big" site and implementing all he wants to -- and if he's serious about making money off of it -- he really should just turn it into a business, and hire some help. Yeah, truth be told, I wouldn't necessarily just trust some kid off the street, either -- but if he "real" employees and a paid staff, he could be more discerning in who he picked.

Hell, I'd work for Jusun, even if it was only part-time.

I know for a fact that Jusun trusted Trish with a lot. And if she were still active on this site, she could probably help with a lot. For example; a change to cB 4.5.

Eh, no use in us sitting here talking about it. Unless one of us is a genie and can grant Admins more power, haha. I mean, I feel bad when someone comes up with a cool idea and everyone is all "yeah! lets do it!" and I have to come in and kill it by telling them we have to wait for him.

Yeah, I feel ya. Everytime someone has a good idea, I think, "Hells yeah, that'd be easy to do," except outside of some minor forum configuration, no one can actually do anything...

I think Jusun's a great guy and all, I really do, but sometimes a part of me thinks that a bunch of CBers should just break off and create a new community. We have a few programmers to write software, a lot of talented designers; it'd take a good deal of time, but it wouldn't be too hard to do. But, ah, I'd hate to see this place just...die (even if most people moved to a new community), and I'm going off on a tangent anyway.

If this site does as well as I've been told, or if it can actually be as big as Jusun seems to think it can be; why not have a paid staff? Like you, I'd work for dude.

I think the same thing too, I wonder what would happen if there was a new site like cB. Honestly this place hasnt really improved the whole time I was a member except for a redesign a couple months back. Admins should really get paid too, I mean with all the shit that they have to endure on this place. I'm sorry if I made a completely useless topic, I always thought admin's had full control over forums, just not the entire site, well then we should bury this thread and resurrect it later before it turns into a Jusun performance thread :]

I think we do have some dedicated people here who could commit to it though. The current staff with a few members...Hell even Thomas could join in on the fun! All jokes aside, I think that some of us should think about this.

I think that is why would should have a selective staff process to start things off. Only like people that are good at certain things and who would actually be around ya know.

i would only favor that if the forums looked the same. i hate 99% of forums because they are annoying to use and this one is simple and nice. if the forums didn't look like this then i would abandon cb and then you guys would really have a shitty site.
