how do you hide groups? i've been trying to figure this out and i just can't get it

Put this at the very end of your Interests section:

CODE
</td></tr></table>
</td></tr></table>
<div class="hide">
<table><tr><td>
<table><tr><td>

Very end meaning the last section in your Interests section that you have something in.

but how do you hide it without hiding the details section?

there used to be, but it seems like they got rid of it. you would go to account settings and then miscellaneous and then there would be a check box

Yeah, that's what I found out. I don't think you can hide them without hiding your Details section as well. How about you just make a custom Details section? Try this.
