I know that there is an FTP username and I know my password but do I have to use godaddy's ftp??

If not please tell me how to use coreFTP on it.

Can I also download cutenews and use that on my account and Is there a script to move the add to the bottom of the page or do I have to leave it at the top?

I'm new to godaddy so I have a lot of questions.

Can I host my domain somewhere else to get rid of the ad at the top of the page?

Thanks in advance! :)

You should be able to sign on with a coreFTP, just use the same information they provide you with for the FTP of your site.

You can get your site hosted someplace else, just transfer the domain, the whole process of that could take up to 2 weeks to a month.

I don't think you're allowed to move the ad.

So to login to my FTP what would I use?

None of those..

1. FTP Address or Hostname: Your Domain Name
2. FTP Username & Password: You selected both of these during account creation
3. Start Directory: You should leave this blank or include a single forward slash (i.e. /)
4. FTP Port: You should enter Standard, or 21.

I don't remember selecting an FTP username or password. I selected a password for my account and used my account username and tried that several times but I has worked yet.

It gives me an error message saying, "Resolving www.sugar-blossom.info...
Connect socket #1300 to 68.178.232.100, port 80...
Keep alive off...
Transferred 0 bytes in 0.094 seconds"

Then it just quits.

My domain name is sugar-blossom.info
My username & password: account username & password
I don't think I really need the two other things.
