He's the president of the United States, yet someone can just throw something and almost hit him? What if it were a gun the guy took out? The president would be dead, and regardless of whether or not I agree with his policies, that's not in the least bit acceptable.

Security is what made the weapons shoes and not guns. With that said, having the secret service directly surrounding the president would probably have sent out a negative message, so they most likely positioned them elsewhere in the room. If you watch the video, the guy is f*cking lightning with his throws, and I doubt any human being could react in time to stop the second shoe... but at least there were people (probably agents among them) who tackled him down before he could throw something even more dangerous.... like maybe a pen.

Oh yea. Iraqis don't play. Especially when dealing with business. W may not be liked by anyone in this region of the country, but the fact of the matter is that international affairs is one big business. Iraq has a 7 billion dollar surplus (roughly) that that they don't have to mess with because the U.S. (and other Coalition Forces, mainly the U.S.) coddles them. Anything that threatens that needs to be eliminated; whether it be a dictator, an entire nation or a mere journalist with a bad temper.

It's funny to me because I have sick and twisted sense of humor. If you beat someone to death, you get to see all the weird faces they make as you deliver blow after to blow to the temple, neck, sternum, kidney, etc. Duh.
