Ludacris is one of the most underrated emcees to ever pick up the mic. It's a shame, but he might go the way of the forgotten rapper (see: Rass Kass, AZ, Xzibit, Kurupt).

i would agree. i haven't thought about him in...forever really. he's one of the only southern rappers i cared for too. it didn't seem like his last album got very much attention though, well not to me at least.

It didn't get much attention at all. The 'game,' as a whole, expected him to come out hard. Instead, he just proved how much he's grown. Yea, he had his typical radio single, but the album is rather well rounded.

Back 4 Tha First Time is a classic that gets slept on. Hell, I wish he and 4-IZE (former protege) never fell out. If that freestyle foreshadowed future endeavors, they both would have been an ill team to be reckoned with.

Very underrated much like Talib Kweli. I think that just like Talib, he gets overshadowed by those who are more prominent in his area like T.I. and Lil Scrappy

I agree with y'all though, Luda is way underrated.

T.I. is complicated. i can't ever decide how i feel about him. sometimes i'm like yeah yeah this guy is pretty good and has talent and other times i'm like eh this really isn't that much different than every other mainstream rapper i can't stand.

And yeah Luda will go down as one of the vastly underrated rappers. I'm still not seeing how TI claiming he the king of the south when the following have took place:

1. Ludacris bodied TI on the same track they were dissing each other on.
2. Ludacris bodied the Made you Look remix more than Jada and Nas.
3. Luda's punchlines are nicer than most southern rappers.
4. Word of Mouth is one of the few rap albums you can listen through without skipping tracks.

TI is a solid rapper, but the only thing he seeing Luda in is album sales.

You gotta love the beef between Luda and Bill O'Reilly.

T.I. is indeed talented, and no one can take that away from him. 'Whateva U Like,' is almost as wack as LL's new single, but not quite. It sells records. And even though T.I. has his 'rapper midlife crisis' that he's dealing with, he's soon going to be on the same musical playing field as 50 Cent; making music to sell as many records as possible.



Ludacris is a better lyricist than most. Even when he's being funny, he's clever.



You think Word of Mouf is better than Icognegro or back 4 Tha First Time?

Not going to lie, I never listened to Icognegro, although I've always intended to. Its inexcusable though, being that this is the internet age. However, I did listen to Back 4 the First Time and its def a classic album.

I just think Word of Mouf was so dynamic. You had that song for the ladies with Jagged Edge and Twista. Block Lockdown was a crazy bonus joint along with Welcome to Atlanta. Its just too many joints off that particular album that could have been decent singles.
