My whole class had to make a brochure and logo for a lady the make cakes for special occasions. Her tag line is "A Hard Hat Full Of Sweetness" So she wanted a construction theme with sweetness. Weird? I know! My teacher had us come up with brochure and four logos for her to choose from.

I'm going to show you the logos and I did it in Illustrator with the pen tool and shape tool and use the pathfinder to make more than on shapes into one, like I did with the construction hat I made. I think the hate is ugly but yeah.

I only have three to show because the fourth on is really simple. It's just text.

1.

Cake logo: This one is my favorite. It's a cake with heart eyes because it's sweet with a tool belt and gum drops on second layer of cake. This would probably be the best one for her to use but it didn't match the color scheme of the brochure.

2.

Ginger bread construction man: He was a pain in the ass to draw with the pen tool. It turned out better than I thought it would.

3.

Lollipop: This is my second favorite and the one I use on the brochure. I use brushes for the swirl part. It's suppose to be like a hammer with a peppermint candy head.

I made the brochure in InDesign but I will show you all it later because it's still on the computer at school. The lady will pick from all my classmates who she likes the best.

I hope the lady pick mine because I worked hard on it. The winner will get a free cake made for them. I loveeeee cake! What do you all think? Is it portfolio worthy? I may add it to my online portfolio that doesn't exist right now.

My favorite is the second one with the gingerbread man.

The first one is nice, but the belt bothers me. It's a really cute idea, but it doesn't look as clean as everything else.

For the lollipop one, it took me a while to figure out it was supposed to be a hammer. I just thought it was a lollipop with a deformed stick. I think the stick could use a little more detail. It's just kinda there right now.

Ooooh the lollipop is a hammer. I was going to ask what was up with the lollipop stick. I think to convey that it's a hammer you should make the ends bigger and more porportional to the lollipop stick.

I like the idea for the first one, but right now it's a little rough around the edges.

When it comes down to aesthetics, the second one is the best. I think that they just need a little fine tuning and they'll look good.

Thanks. The tool belt was a pain in the ass to draw too. I going to go back and make it thicker or something. What type of detail I should add to the lollipop hammer? Like make the end thicker and top of the handle a little thinner.

For the lollipop handle, maybe add some lines to make it look like a wood grain?
Cyanide-
I love the third one the best

That might work.

I like the second one the best. The stripes dont line up in two places though, and I think the face should have different colors, not just pink, but maybe the eyes could be one color and the mouth could be another and the nose could stay pink? or something like that (however youd like), but it just seems to plain being all pink in the face.
other than that, its super cute. I don't like the first one though, idk why, it just looks kind of... preschooler to me?
and the 3rd would look good if, like others said, there was grain in the handle so that it looked like wood.
